No Time

Since my husband is taking long business trips this summer, he and I decided that it would be a good idea if I stayed with my Mom for the next month or so. The drive here was a grueling 13 hours- 10 of which were non-stop screaming by William. Margaret was so mesmorized by our new car DVD player that she didn't complain much. I did have to read a new Eric Carle book about a thousand times in a row and do some singing... very easy traveller.

William now will not let me put him down for anything. He must be held 24/7 so I have had no time to update but hopefully he will settle in soon to give me some time to update about the Monkeys.

Enjoy the time with your mom. It will be nice for you to have a second set of hands to help with the kiddos. I hope little William settles in to his new surroundings soon.

We are contemplating an 11 hour drive to some relatives, but I am getting cold feet after hearing about William crying- not so sure Bella wold like the ride either.

Take care

I'm glad to hear you will be getting some help!!

We do a 16 hour trip every Thanksgiving but we do it overnight so at least Arianna sleeps. Last year she was easy... this year will be different. Can't say I'm looking forward to it...

Hopefully William calms down for you soon! I can empathize with how difficult it is to have a screaming kid for the majority of the day.

I've missed reading about your two...but I see how busy it is!
Glad your Mom is helping out...mine has been coming to my house while Edwin Sr is away boxing, trying to make the Olympic team.
Update soon, but get some rest when you can!

I have been missing your updates! Glad to hear you are getting some help and it should be nice to spend some time with your mom. My mom and I were always close, but having Hailey really made me appreciate her wisdom and help :-) I am also glad to hear Margaret did well on the trip! Hailey doesn't travel so well, not even with the dvd player! No more trips for us anytime soon!

We drove to Utah and Ty was a mess the last stretch of the ride. In fact he knew if he puked he would get out of his seat.. what a smarty!! Glad you have help and another adult to interact with... Update when you can

I am glad you are getting some help too. Hopefully William will start feeling better soon. You probably already thought of this but if he is able to keep his airway open in a baby bjorn or baby sling it might free you up just a little. Is that a selfish reader of your blog comment or what?!

Ellie was like that for awhile and the baby bjorn actually helped me at least get in a cup of tea now and then. She could keep her airway open in the sling. But I remember those days of endless holding hour upon hour. It's hard.
